Mural Kickoff

The votes are in and the artist has been chosen for the new TC3 mural! The painting of the wall will kick off Friday, May 2nd at 5:00pm with artist Margalo Guo. Stop by and meet the artist, have some snacks, or even help paint the wall!

This mural shows panthers taking on the world!
The design also incorporates the black and green school colors in the green lighting on the panthers fur, with a sunrise colored background showing the sunrise of new beginnings as TC3 graduates take on the world with confidence. The background has doodles relating to various programs in the school (intersection-civil engineering, alligator clip-electrical engineering, tractor wheels - agriculture, computer with python code - computer programming, two people discussing - any major/social sciences, scales of justice - criminal justice/paralegal, stethoscope - nursing/medical, bacteria - biology, notebook with notes - any, magnifying glass - general spirit of inquisitiveness!) This background just shows some ideas I have, but I would love to discuss with the school about sketching representation for programs as a doodle backdrop to the pouncing panthers!

Artist Statement:
I am an artist/muralist from Ithaca. I was born in China and came to Ithaca at a young age. I’ve grown up in Ithaca ever since and loved doing murals here. I’m currently in my second year of college at Penn State, and I spend part of the year in central Pennsylvania and part in Ithaca. I’ll be in Ithaca from April to August.
